Appendix 3 - Fixed Record Layout Template


**OverView**
This template is intended to aid in the creation of properly formed fixed records for the format specified in Appendix 3 in the Wyoming user guide.

Any of the lines within the 'Template Section' can be copied into a submission file to aid in visually determining if record(s) have 
been properly created.
It could also be used as a guide for the manual entry of records in the case where an insurance company was manually creating records
for a small number of policies.


**Legend**

1. The first line of the 'Template Section' illustrates the length of a complete fixed-length record. 
   The digits '1234567890' are repeated sequentilally until the end of a valid record is reached.

2. The second line of the 'Template Section' illustrates the length of each individual field within a record.
   The beginning of each field starts with '1' (one-based) and the digits '1234567890' are repeated until the end of the field length is reached.

3. The third line of the 'Template Section' illustrates a sample record.

4. The fourth line of the 'Template Section' illustrates a legend where each '*' character denotes the beginning of a new field.
   The '*' characters correspond to the number '1' referenced in line in #2 (described above). 

5. The remaining lines of the 'Template Section' correspond to the '*' characters described in #4 (above) and provide the title of each field.
