Surfacing work underway on Laramie’s Third Street

A micro-surfacing project is underway on Third Street (US 30-287) in Laramie between Curtis Street on the north and Boswell Drive on the south. WYDOT Resident Engineer Tim Morton said the road will remain open during the work, with traffic narrowed to one lane in each direction. All work will be performed between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m., and the project is scheduled for completion by July 24.  WYDOT does micro-surfacing work each summer to repair damage, provide a skid-resistant surface and prevent water from getting into the pavement through cracks and potholes. Minor Delays this Saturday on US30/US287

Cowboy fans driving to the Wyoming vs UNLV football game on Saturday should allow a little extra time to get to Laramie if they will be traveling via US 30/US 287.   The snowy and wet weather this week has canceled two days of scheduled work on eleven miles of the road east of Medicine Bow.   With winter weather on the doorstep crews will be paving on Saturday from daylight to dark and travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes east of Medicine Bow.
