Casper's Walsh Drive to close for one week

CASPER – North Walsh Drive will be closed at its intersection with Cott Street (Post Office Road) beginning tomorrow, Sept. 8. The closure will last approximately one week as crews work to tie in the Walsh Drive extension with the existing section of Walsh Drive.

Motorists wanting to access the U.S. Post Office will need to do so via North Forest Drive. Access to all other businesses in the area will be unchanged during this period.
 
Portable dynamic message signs have been active in the area notifying motorists of the upcoming closure.
 
When completed, the Walsh Drive extension will link Yellowstone Highway with Second Street. The is a federally-funded project administered by WYDOT for the City of Casper. Work is being performed by Knife River at a cost of $1.03 million.
