Railroad crossing work to affect US 85 traffic

Date: 05/19/2011

Work on two Union Pacific Railroad crossings will affect traffic on US 85 next week and on June 1.

Beginning Wednesday, May 25, traffic will be reduced to one lane on US 85 at milepost 82, about 10 miles south of Torrington. Construction will continue through the evening of Thursday, May 26.
On Wednesday, June 1, crews will move to milepost 72 on US 85 to perform railroad crossing work at that location. Again, traffic will be reduced to one lane during construction.
Construction will be performed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Flaggers and other traffic control measures will be on location. Motorists are urged to drive with caution through these work zones and obey flaggers. Delays should be minimal at each location.
