The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will be hosting a public meeting at the Old Wilson Schoolhouse Community Center, 5655 Main Street in Wilson, on Sept. 24, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7  p.m.  The purpose of this public meeting will be to provide some preliminary information about the project and solicit public input on three locations for the arrestor system.  Each location varies in its impacts to right-of-way, pathway and maintenance issues.

"We are looking for general comments and we are trying to get information out there to the public about what options we are reviewing," Resident Engineer Bob Hammond said.

Public participation is strongly encouraged and recommended.

The truck arrestors are part of a project scheduled for 2015 in the WYDOT transportation improvement plan. In addition, WYDOT plans to install a weigh-in-motion and dynamic message boards in 2014,  in order to better enforce current truck restrictions on Teton Pass.
