Paving scheduled next week for WYO 120 work near Cody
A Wyoming Department of Transportation asphalt paving crew is scheduled to pave a short section of highway Monday, May 11, about 10 miles south of Cody.
Weather permitting, about 2,200 tons of asphalt will be placed in several different areas of WYO 120 next week south of Cody.
WYDOT’s hot-mix patching operation consists of a four-man paving crew, a roller operator and numerous WYDOT trucks hauling the hot asphalt.
“Please obey posted speed limits during the paving operation, and obey flaggers for safety’s sake,” said Shawn Coggins of Meeteetse, WYDOT paving foreman. “In work zones, pay attention or pay the price.”
Weather permitting, 2,700 tons of asphalt are scheduled for patching north of Cody on WYO 120 between May 19 and May 28, 1,600 tons are scheduled for patching near Lovell June 1-3, and 2,400 tons are scheduled for patching near Basin between June 4 and June 11.
