ADA upgrade project to begin in Shoshoni
A $295,000 highway improvement project is scheduled to begin Monday, May 11, in the town of Shoshoni, according to Richard Warren, Wyoming Department of Transportation project inspector in Riverton.
“Traffic delays will be minimal during the work, but people are advised to slow down and pay attention through the work zones,” Warren said. “Pay attention or pay the price.”
The two-month project includes Americans with Disabilities Act improvements to sidewalks, curbs and gutters along US 26 through Shoshoni, and also includes work on Idaho Street.
The ADA project was awarded to Hout Fencing of Wyoming Inc., of Worland, in January. Completion date is Aug. 31, 2009.
WYDOT contact for the Shoshoni project is Acting Resident Engineer Robert Scheidemantel, 856-1341.
