Goodrich Drive storm drain installation complete

Storm drain installation has been completed on the north end of the $1.5 million Goodrich Drive improvement project in Lander.

“Reconstruction of the street is beginning this week and next,” said Erik Smith, Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer in Lander. “Curb and gutter is being removed and replaced on the north end of the project, along with placement of geotextile separation fabric, biaxial geogrid, and crushed base."

Smith said the second phase of the Goodrich Drive project will begin later this summer near the south end of Goodrich Drive and Sinks Canyon Road (WYO 131).

The Goodrich Drive improvement project includes .65 miles of Goodrich Drive in the city of Lander. Work includes grading, draining, placing crushed gravel, asphalt pavement surfacing and asphalt wearing course, removal and replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter, fencing and other work.

Completion date for the project is Sept. 15, 2009.
