US 14-A closed between Byron and Garland
US 14-A is closed until further notice between Byron and Garland due to a breach in the Sidon Canal.
Road closure gates are in place in the Town of Byron and at milepost 33.
Wyoming Department of Transportation maintenance foreman Jim Thomas of Lovell received a call for help at 2 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, concerning a vehicle crash and water on the highway between milepost 35 and milepost 36 on US 14-A.
The US 14-A highway closure is between Lovell/Cowley (US 310) and Powell.
Travelers are encouraged to avoid the area until further notice. Eastbound travelers may use WYO 114 between Garland and and Deaver to reach US 310 (Montana or Lovell). From Lovell or US 310, travelers are encouraged to use WYO 32 to WYO 295 to reach Powell/Cody.
