‘Thank you Cowley’ barbecue is Thursday
The City of Cowley and Wyoming Department of Transportation are sponsoring a “Thank You Cowley” barbecue Thursday as part of the $6.6 million Cowley Streets Improvement Project.
The barbecue begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. Thursday in the picnic shelter at Cowley Town Park.
Citizens are invited to participate in the free barbecue, and construction workers, City of Cowley workers and WYDOT workers are invited to participate.
Participants will dine on pork sandwiches, potato chips, cookies and soft drinks.
KZMQ-FM will be broadcasting live from the town park during the barbecue.
The 2009 Cowley Streets Improvement Project includes grading, draining, removal and replacement of surfacing, sidewalk, curb and gutter, guardrail, placing crushed gravel, asphalt paving, concrete pavement, storm sewer, landscaping, electrical systems, fencing, and other work on 1.5 miles of US 310 beginning at reference marker 241.73 in the Town of Cowley in Big Horn County.
The project completion date is June 30, 2010.
