One-day closure rescheduled for Waltman Rest Area
Electrical work is scheduled to close the Waltman Rest Area on Monday, April 12, a change due to a work schedule change, according to Robert Scheidemantel, Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer in Riverton.
The main building at the Waltman Rest Area is already closed for repairs until further notice between Shoshoni and Casper on US 20-26, but a portable restroom facility is open at Waltman to accommodate travelers.
On Monday, April 12, the one-day closure is scheduled to be in effect for the entire rest area. The portable restroom facility is scheduled to reopen Tuesday, April 13.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and for any confusion this work schedule change may cause,” Scheidemantel said.
