Asphalt pavement overlay project to begin west of Moneta
A $3.48 million asphalt pavement overlay project is scheduled to begin next week between Shoshoni and Moneta on U.S. 20/26, according to Robert Scheidemantel, Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer in Riverton.
“Prime contractor Western Wyoming Construction Co., of Lander is scheduled to begin the leveling and overlay project Monday, July 12,” Scheidemantel said. “Travelers should expect traffic delays during this work, and traffic will be moved through the project with pilot vehicles.”
Scheidemantel said the project will take approximately five weeks to complete.
The highway improvements will take place between mileposts 79.1 and 91 on U.S. 20/26.
Completion date for the Moneta West improvements is Sept. 30, 2010.
The Moneta West asphalt rehabilitation project is being funded through the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
