South lane of 23rd Street scheduled for closure at Washakie Avenue intersection in Worland
The south lane of 23rd Street in Worland is scheduled for closure at its intersection with Washakie Avenue on Monday, Aug. 5, for concrete repairs, according to Robert Scheidemantel, Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer in Riverton.
"Please drive with care through the work zone in this intersection," said Scheidemantel. "The contractor is scheduled to replace a concrete valley pan in this intersection."
Where the repairs are occurring, this part of the intersection will be closed for about a week.
Scheidemantel said curb and gutter repairs are continuing throughout the project.
Other repairs include sealing of sidewalk joints, and chip sealing on the street.
"Chip sealing of 23rd Street will be completed in August," Scheidemantel said.
Hout Fencing of Wyoming, Inc., of Worland is the prime contractor on the $726,400 project in Worland.
