Aeronautics Commission to meet May 23-24 in Rock Springs

The Wyoming Aeronautics Commission will conduct a quarterly meeting on May 24, in Rock Springs.

The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Homewood Suites, 60 Winston Drive, and is open to the public

On May 23 the commission will tour the Rock Springs-Sweetwater County Airport at 11:30 a.m., and the Greater Green River Intergalactic Space Port at 2:30 p.m.  

The commissioners, appointed by the governor for six-year terms, approve grants of state and federal money for airport construction, maintenance, improvements, marketing and air service enhancements. It also can make loans to Wyoming counties, cities, towns and joint powers boards for construction, development and improvement of airport facilities generating user fees.
