All alpine passes now open

WYO 70 over Battle Pass in south-central Wyoming opened on June 3.

Battle Pass is the last of the seasonally closed alpine passes in the state to reopen. WYO 130 over the Snowy Range opened on May 24, and US 14A between Burgess Junction and Lovell opened on May 22.

The high elevation passes close annually in late autumn when relatively low traffic and deep snow accumulations render plowing operations impractical.
