Asphalt pavement milling starts on US 310 project south of Lovell

April 15, 2019

A $1.6 million highway rehabilitation project has started directly south of Lovell on US 310.

Highway improvements on 5 miles of US 310 directly south of Lovell include widening mailbox turnouts, asphalt pavement milling, and a pavement overlay, said Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Michael Miller of Basin.

"During asphalt pavement milling operations, motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes," Miller said. "Please slow down in the work zone and give the workers a brake."

Scheduled improvements are between mileposts 230 and 235 south of Lovell.

The Wyoming Transportation Commission awarded the US 310 project contract to prime contractor Mountain Construction Co., of Lovell in February. Completion date is Oct. 31, 2019.
