Beech Street bridge demolition to begin April 24 in the evening

April 21, 2017

PINE BLUFFS, Wyo. – Construction crews will begin nighttime work on Monday, April 24 to demolish the eastbound Interstate 80 bridge over Beech Street in Pine Bluffs.

Work is scheduled to take place on three evenings from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on April 24 through April 26.

Travel will be restricted to and from the neighborhood south of I-80 that is accessed by Beech Street, though emergency vehicles will be allowed through the construction site if necessary.

The Beech Street bridge demolition follows the demolition of the Parsons Street bridge the week prior.

The bridge work is part of the Pine Bluffs Marginal project, which involves reconstructing three bridges on I-80 through that community. Construction is expected to be completed in the fall.

This year’s work complements construction performed in 2015.
