Emergency contract awarded for cleanup of slide debris near Wind River Canyon highway

Work is underway on an emergency contract for cleanup of mudslide debris and rocks near US 20 - WYO 789 in Wind River Canyon.

The $199,200 contract was awarded to Pab Good Trucking of Greybull. Removal of debris and rocks from the highway's clear zone is expected to take two to three weeks to complete.

Traffic will be controlled by flaggers, and travelers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes. Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution and patience in the work zone.

Mudslides triggered by heavy rains closed the highway for nearly three days beginning May 24.
