I-80 sign replacement project to begin April 16

April 16, 2018

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Numerous signs along Interstate 80 in Laramie County are scheduled to be replaced in a large project scheduled over the next several weeks.

The sign replacement project includes signs from the Laramie/Albany County line to just west of Pine Bluffs. It is scheduled to begin Monday, April 16, and continue through June.

Drivers should be aware of crews working on the project and move over for construction vehicles on the shoulder of the highway. Lane closures will be in effect when overhead signs are installed, such as those near the I-80/I-25 interchange.

Signs are replaced when they have passed their working life, which includes worn out signs or those that have lost reflectivity.

S&L Industrial of Cowley is the prime contractor for the project.
