One lane closed on Horse Creek Road bridge

The northbound lane of a bridge on Horse Creek Road (WYO 211) just south of Horse Creek has been closed until repairs to the bridge can be completed.

The bridge is about 1.7 miles south of Horse Creek at reference marker 25.10. It carries Horse Creek Road over a creek bed.

During the closure, northbound and southbound traffic will be required to yield and take turns to cross the bridge using a single lane.

The lane closure is in response to a bridge inspection report done this month that revealed a deficiency in the timber supports underneath the bridge. The bridge inspection report recommended the northbound lane be closed until the repair can be made.

WYDOT is working to develop a contract for the work and repair the bridge in the coming months.
