Parsons Street bridge demolition to begin Monday, April 17

PINE BLUFFS, Wyo. – Demolition of the eastbound Parsons Street bridge on Interstate 80 will cause nightly closures of the Pine Bluffs rest area and the eastbound exit ramp at Parsons Street (Exit 401) this week.

Work will begin Monday, April 17, and will continue through Thursday night, April 20.

The rest area will close from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and the eastbound exit ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The rest area and eastbound exit ramp will be open outside of those hours.

Westbound traffic will still be able to exit at Parsons Street.

The bridge work is part of the Pine Bluffs Marginal project, which involves reconstructing three bridges on I-80 through that community. Construction is expected to be completed in the fall.

This year’s work complements construction performed in 2015.
