Paving operations scheduled to begin Oct. 19 between Lovell and Cowley

Traffic delays are expected with the beginning of asphalt paving operations on US 310/WYO 789 between Lovell and Cowley in northwest Wyoming.

Paving operations are scheduled to begin Oct. 19.

"Drivers should expected traffic delays of up to 20 minutes during paving," according to Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Michael Miller of Basin. "After paving is complete, two lanes of traffic will be open over the Shoshone River bridge through the winter."

All work is dependent upon favorable weather.

The $11.7 million Sage Creek highway and bridge improvement project consists of road widening, bridge widening over the Shoshone River, replacement of the Sage Creek and railroad bridges, asphalt paving, and other work.

Prime contractor is S&S Builders, LLC, of Gillette. Contract completion date is Oct. 31, 2019.
