Repairs to Parsley Boulevard bridge start today

February 21, 2018

LARAMIE, Wyo. – Crews with Reiman Corp. began a project today to repair damage to the Parsley Boulevard bridge over Interstate 80. The bridge was last struck by a commercial vehicle in February of 2017. This project will repair damage to the bridge.

The work is scheduled to end by the first week of March, weather permitting. Lane closures will be in effect on Interstate 80 while work takes place.

Work on the Parsley bridge will continue later this summer in a separate project.

In June, the bridge will close to all traffic and will remain closed through early August, weather permitting. The closure will allow crews to repair concrete pedestals that help support the bridge. WYDOT will keep the public notified of the exact dates as the project gets closer.

These repairs will continue to ensure the structure remains safe for use until its scheduled replacement in the early 2020s.
