Repairs will cause bridge lane closures near Saratoga

May 20, 2016

Traffic will be down to one lane over a bridge north of Saratoga on WYO 130 starting on Monday, May 23 as workers make repairs.

Flaggers will be on each end of the bridge controlling traffic while crews complete the repairs. One lane of alternating traffic will be allowed to cross the bridge at a time. The speed limit will be reduced to 10 mph in the work zone, and motorists should expect about a 10- to 15-minute delay.

The work is anticipated to be completed by late spring or early summer.

“Motorists are asked to slow down, obey posted speed limits and watch out for workers when driving in the construction area,” said Jake Lonn, Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer in Rawlins. “WYDOT puts traffic control measures into place to protect both motorists and workers in the construction zones.”

The work is part of a 12-mile long overlay project between Walcott Junction and Saratoga. Crews completed the majority of the work in 2015, but need to finish some minor bridge repairs this spring.
