Section of eastbound I-80 near Walcott Jct. to be repaved

RAWLINS, Wyo. – A section of Interstate 80 near Walcott Jct. will be repaved this year, and traffic will be moved to the westbound lanes while work takes place.

The paving project will happen in the eastbound lanes between mile markers 233 and 240 and includes the Walcott Jct. interchange (Exit 235 - WYO 130, U.S. 30/287).

Over the next two weeks, workers will enact temporary lane closures on that part of I-80.

All traffic will be moved to the westbound lanes with one lane in each direction on May 1, weather permitting. Interchanges will remain open.

Work is expected to wrap up later this summer.

This project complements previous work in the westbound lanes.
