Sponsor A Highway Program beginning in Wyoming

September 9, 2015

Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corp., in cooperation with WYDOT, is launching a Sponsor A Highway® Program in Wyoming.

The program will help keep the state's roadsides clean at no cost to taxpayers, while providing businesses with an opportunity to gain positive recognition for their contribution to their communities.

AHMC will begin offering sponsorships in the Casper, Cheyenne and Laramie areas, and then expand the program statewide. The company will offer sponsorships on highways in urban and rural areas and for rest areas and truck parking areas.

Each business that joins the program will get their company name and logo in full color on a newly designed Sponsor A Highway® sign, and for every one-mile sponsored, AHMC crew members will remove trash and debris along each designated area.

“We’re looking forward to working with Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corp. on this new program to help keep our roadsides clean,” WYDOT State Maintenance Engineer Kent Ketterling said. “The Sponsor A Highway® program will provide a valuable service for the state at no cost to taxpayers and supplement our already successful volunteer Adopt-A-Highway program.”

AHMC has been in business for 25 years, and Wyoming is the 20th state in which it will manage a Sponsor A Highway® Program. In the states in which the program is already operating, AHMC is providing litter removal and roadway maintenance for sponsoring local businesses and Fortune 500 companies including Alaska Airlines, Zappos.com, NBC, and Disney.

The company's crews consistently clean America’s busiest highways, while providing outdoor signage opportunities that display the sponsoring companies' names and logos for thousands of motorists to see daily. Additional information about the Sponsor A Highway® Program can be found on AHMC’s website.
