Work on Hoback Junction South Road bridge begins

March 17, 2017

The Wyoming Department of Transportation, with contract crews from Cannon Builders Inc., are initiating work in the Hoback Junction with the replacement of the bridge over the Hoback River on Teton County Road 33, also known as Hoback Junction South Road.

Residents will see crews and equipment mobilizing this week and preparing to place a temporary, single-lane bridge downstream and adjacent to the current bridge. After traffic is moved to the temporary bridge, work will then begin on the new bridge.

Delays will be used as needed and crews will do their best to keep them to 15 minutes or less.  Drivers are reminded to plan accordingly for potential delays.  WYDOT crews ask drivers to proceed through the project area cautiously and obey all signs and markers, as the work site is very limited and small.

Work will include the structure replacement, grading, placing crushed base and bituminous pavement surfacing, and miscellaneous work on 0.078 mile on County Road 33 at the Hoback River Bridge.

The completion date for the project is set for Oct. 31 of this year.

WYDOT would like to remind all drivers to slow down in work zones, be alert and cautious of roadside workers and obey all traffic signs.
