Work resumes on road construction suspended for Frontier Days

July 26, 2013

Work will resume next week on three WYDOT construction projects suspended for Frontier Days.

The work includes construction of the diverging diamond interchange at I-25 and College Drive, West Pershing Boulevard between Bent and Snyder avenues and the Parsley Avenue bridge over Interstate 80.

Drivers are urged to be alert for flaggers and traffic control in the construction areas and exercise patience and courtesy in dealing with construction workers and their fellow motorists.

The diverging diamond interchange project is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.

Utilities repairs on West Pershing will require closing the street between Pioneer and Snyder avenues for milling, pavement repair, and application of final wearing course on Tuesday and Wednesday. The project is expected to be done by the end of August.

The Parsley Boulevard. bridge will be closed beginning Aug. 5 to repair damage incurred this spring when the structure was hit by a truck hauling large equipment. The closure could last up to six weeks.
