Director's Letter

Hello, and welcome to the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s (WYDOT) Strategic Performance web page. In this area you will find WYDOT's Overall Strategic Plan and Balanced Scorecard (BSC). It’s our belief that the people of Wyoming have a right to know what we are accomplishing as an agency. Showcasing our Strategic Plan and BSCs is one way we intend to communicate to our customers, and all of our stakeholders, what is important for WYDOT to achieve. Our Strategic Plan and BSCs also help our employees focus on what is important for us an agency. And they demonstrate to our customers that we are "keeping score" and will continue to better ourselves.

WYDOT uses the BSC to easily depict all programs' strategic plans. Each program within WYDOT has completed a  program scorecard. In addition to these scorecards, we also have our  Long  Range  Transportation Plan, which helps us define where we are headed in the long run. It is updated on a cyclical basis.

We are required by law to submit an Annual Report and Strategic Plan to the governor. These reports are more condensed than our Overall Strategic Plan and Annual Report. The State of Wyoming also has an Annual Report and a Strategic Plan.

We also conduct a periodic customer satisfaction survey to help us improve in addition we survey our WYDOT employees and Patrol employees to gather their feedback and to help us improve the work environment.
