Search Requirements

All requests for searches should be directed in writing to:

Motor Vehicle Services

Cheyenne, WY 82009

Each individual record(s) search is $5 and must be remitted with the search form found below.

Federal law may prohibit release of personal information in certain cases

CERTIFICATE OF TITLE SEARCH - request must contain at least one of the following:  vehicle identification number, title number or legal owner(s) name.

LICENSE PLATE REGISTRATION SEARCH - request must contain the plate number and type of vehicle (passenger car, truck, motorcycle, etc.), make and year.

All fees will be waived if request is received from governmental agencies or political subdivisions that have entered into a reciprocal information sharing agreement with the department.
