LEGAL SIZE AND WEIGHT LIMITS
Width: 8 1/2 ft. Height: 14 ft. Length: 60 ft - single unit, or semi-trailer in a truck-tractor semi-trailer combination 81 ft - semi-trailer, trailer combined length in truck-tractor, semi-trailer, trailer combination including connecting mechanism (48 ft. - maximum for semi-trailer) (40 ft. - maximum for trailer) The heavier towed vehicle shall be directly behind the truck-tractor the truck_tractor and the light towed vehicle shall be last if the weight difference between consecutive towed vehicles exceeds five 5000 lbs.
85 ft. - any combination of vehicles other than those listed above. No combination of vehicles shall consist of more than 3 single vehicles.
Weight:
Single axle: 20,000 lbs. Tandem axle: 36,000 lbs. Triple axle: 42,000 lbs. or three or more axles used on bridges measuring more than 8 1/2 feet refer to Table I.
Each wheel: 10,000 lbs. Each tire: 700 lbs. per inch of width on steering tires, 600 lbs. per inch of width on other tires. Gross weight:
