Out-Of-State Vehicle Manufacturers

Out-of-state motor vehicle manufacturers that construct or assemble motor vehicles of the types subject to registration in this state are required to obtain a license from WYDOT in order for vehicle dealers in Wyoming to sell new vehicles distributed by the manufacturer [W.S.31-16-104 (a)(ii)]. License application forms are available from WYDOT.

Vehicles Required to be Registered in Wyoming:

• Passenger Cars
• Trucks
• Commercial Vehicles
• Trailers
• Motorcycles
• ATVs (If operated on Wyoming streets or highways, see multipurpose vehicles)
• Electric Vehicles (If operated on Wyoming streets or highways, see multipurpose vehicles)
• Mini Trucks (If operated on Wyoming streets or highways, see multipurpose vehicles)
