Aeronautics Commission to meet Sept. 14-16 in Cheyenne

The Wyoming Aeronautics Commission will attend the Wyoming Airport Operators Association Annual Conference on Wednesday, Sept. 14 and Thursday, Sept. 15, and then conduct its quarterly business meeting on Friday, Sept. 16, both in Cheyenne.

Commission members will attend the conference Wednesday evening and all day on Thursday in the Wyoming Room A/B of the Little America Hotel and Resort at 2800 W. Lincolnway.

The business meeting on Friday will start at 9 a.m. and will also be held in the Wyoming Room A/B of the Little American Hotel and Resort. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the commission will attend an education session at WYDOT headquarters in the Transportation Commission room. The commission meetings are open to the public.

The seven commissioners, appointed by the governor for six-year terms, approve grants and loans of state and federal money for airport construction, maintenance, improvements, marketing and air service enhancements.

They meet in person quarterly, and conduct teleconferences on the third Tuesday of each of the other eight months.
