Operations Division

The Operations Division proudly encompasses WYDOT's specialists in Equipment, Maintenance, Facilities, Construction, and Traffic Operations, spread across five dynamic Districts. These dedicated teams truly embody their mission, enabling WYDOT's effective operation and maintenance across our wonderful state. Often recognized by colleagues as "The Boots on the Ground," the Operations Division frequently serves as the public face of the agency and WYDOT's internal eyes and ears. The Division's success hinges on its expert staff, who much be not only technically adept but also masterful communicators. Though spread statewide, this workforce shares a common trait: the grit, determiniation and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. This fierce dedication to serving their community drove the development of the Operations Division's strategic plan, which focuses on training a highly skilled, resilient, and cohesive workforce empowered to make decisions that improve agency safety and efficiency.
