Aeronautics Commission to meet Jan. 29

The Wyoming Aeronautics Commission will meet 9 a.m. Jan. 29 in Cheyenne.

The commission will vote on Air Service Enhancement Program (ASEP) applications for Sheridan and Riverton as well as Wyoming Aviation Capital Improvement Program (WACIP) budget modifications for fiscal year 2019.

ASEP is a grant program that provides funding to improve or retain air service within the state of Wyoming. The WACIP is a compilation of all anticipated improvement projects for each public airport in Wyoming The commission will also meet in the afternoon from noon-3:30 p.m. for a workshop and education session.

The commission may hold an executive session at the end of the meeting if necessary.

Commission meetings are open to the public. The public may join Wyoming Department of Transportation staff in the WYDOT auditorium at 5300 Bishop Boulevard.

The commission’s next meeting will be March 12 in Cheyenne.

The seven commissioners, appointed by the governor for six-year terms, approve grants and loans of state and federal money for airport construction, maintenance, improvements, marketing and air service enhancements.

The commission holds six in-person meetings per year.
