Public Safety Communications Commission to meet Jan. 8 in Cheyenne

The Wyoming Public Safety Communications Commission (PSCC) will hold a workshop, educational session and regular meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8 in Cheyenne.

The commission will hold its workshop starting at 11 a.m. in the executive staff room at WYDOT Headquarters at 5300 Bishop Blvd. in Cheyenne. Commissioners will discuss the Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan.

Then at 12:30 p.m., the commission will hold an education session, which will feature a connected vehicle demonstration.

The commission will then meet at 2 p.m. for its regular business meeting in the auditorium at 5300 Bishop Blvd. During the meeting, the commission will consider meeting minutes and hear several reports on PSCC business.

The Wyoming Public Safety Communications Commission is comprised of gubernatorial appointees from state, county, local and federal public safety agencies and associations.

The commission is responsible for promoting the development, improvement and efficiency of public safety communication systems in Wyoming and provides administrative oversight to WyoLink, the statewide public safety radio communications system.

The commission holds four in-person meetings per year.
