The Wyoming Department of Transportation and Wyoming Game and Fish want to improve safety on the roads, reduce loss of lives and property, and reduce impacts to wildlife heritage.

Through the Wyoming Wildlife and Roadways Initiative, the two state agencies are looking for ways to reduce wildlife-vehicle crashes and re-establish or maintain wildlife movement corridors.

The initiative came out of the April 2017 WYDOT and WGFD’s Wyoming’s Wildlife and Roadways Summit, where officials met to discuss ways to improve safety and reduce collisions.

The two agencies developed a road map that summarizes the concerns and issues raised at the summit.
