April 13 crashes involved 54 vehicles

The Highway Patrol says a total of 54 vehicles were involved in the series of 10 crashes on April 13 that led to the closure of the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 between Laramie and Rawlins for approximately 18 hours. Transportation Commission awards $33.5 million in highway contracts

Contracts totaling $33.5 million for 12 highway projects around the state, including three to be funded with increased fuel tax revenue, were awarded by the Wyoming Transportation Commission during its March meeting in Cheyenne. New Cheyenne driver license location now open

The Cheyenne driver license office is now open at its new location just northwest of the I-25 College Drive Interchange. Alternate route recommended to avoid US 85 flooding near Cheyenne

A section of U.S. 85 between Cheyenne and LaGrange was reopened Wednesday, but WYDOT recommended travelers take an alternate route to avoid the flooding that closed the highway earlier in the day. Parsley Boulevard I-80 overpass expected to reopen Saturday

The Parsley Boulevard Bridge over Interstate 80 in Cheyenne will reopen after required traffic control barriers are set up. WYDOT bridge engineers have determined it is safe to restore traffic with a 15 mph speed limit and traffic control barriers to restrict the bridge to two 10-foot lanes.
