Delays possible on southbound I-25 in Colorado

July 31, 2013

Motorists southbound on I-25 to Colorado should be prepared for delays in a construction project beginning about 16 miles south of the Wyoming border.

The Colorado Department of Transportation says delays of up to 15 minutes are possible on a 13-mile section of the southbound lanes where concrete repairs are being completed to extend the life of the highway.

The delays are possible Mondays through Fridays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lane closures will be in effect around the clock through September between the Owl Canyon Road and Colorado Highway 14 (Mulberry Street) interchanges.

Every effort is being made to limit the work zone closures to two miles or less.

Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time to get through the construction, and to exercise patience and courtesy in the work zone.
