WYDOT plans closure of Teton Pass Sunday for avalanche control
March 3, 2018
The Wyoming Department of Transportation will close the Teton Pass (WYO 22) at 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 4 for avalanche control.
Reduced visibility, winter driving conditions and increasing avalanche hazard may force an earlier closure. Overnight parking at the summit of Teton Pass is prohibited during the closure.
Highway travelers and backcountry users are advised to plan accordingly.
Motorists can call 511 or go to WYDOT’s 511 website for the latest road and travel conditions. They can also sign up for automated email and text alerts with 511 Notify.
